zeaky asked: I hope you feel good about being stupid

Me? I’m not the one posting comments as well thought out as yours is. I at least explain myself or try to make people understand what I said. No I don’t tell people they are stupid as the equivalent of saying “your a doody head” and that’s it. If that makes me stupid and you so SMART than dammit I am pretty fucking stupid. I sure do hope I never become as “smart” as you are, Zeak!

marchoftigers asked: Well the way you said "They look like transgendered men" was misgendering and seemed as if you were giving trans* people negative connotations. (Oh, and fyi, being transgender isn't exactly a "lifestyle" because you can't choose to be trans*)

You can chose to have surgery and live the life as the opposite gender you know. Just saying. Not that every person that feels like a different gender trapped in the body they have chooses to actually alter their body to match either but there is somewhere a choice. Like being attracted to the same sex. I had a choice on whether or not to follow my feelings or bury them like most people do when they figure out they are attracted to the same sex. I CHOSE to not ignore my predisposition and allowed myself to enjoy the same sex. That aside no I wasn’t trying to say some negative commentary on transgendered people. I often wonder what would have happened if I said they looked like Drag Queens instead.

Fandom secret: When it comes to My Little Pony my reaction is anywhere from “meh” to “why are you telling me about this?”

I don’t hate it.

But I don’t really like it either.

The songs are fucking catchy as hell I’ll give it that.

I’m going to do the main ponies (plus Spike) as little cutouts for Ramencon because I have nothing fandom related to sell and none of my original stuff sold last year :/

Fluttershy and Rarity are all done.

Lol, I can tell you are indifferent, hence the manly faces and caricature-like appearances of their physical features. XD Sorry but these look terribly laughable XD Well drawn and they obviously took some talent but man, they look awful XD Why do so many artists insist on making human versions of characters look like transgendered men?

I think you mean trangendered women?

And there’s nothing wrong with trans women. They’re women. Simple as that. I really could care less about whether or not you think the designs are awful but spare me the remark about trans people and at least take the time to get it right if you’re going to be offensive.

So I would like to congratulate you for not only saying that women can’t have masculine features but also saying that transgender women are actually men.

Good job.

Lol, I love how you think I said it as a slight to transgendered people as opposed to how you’re using the look of transgendered people as an aesthetic in art for humanizing characters and how i think it look terrible…and it does. Lol, what would you do if I were transgendered? Hmmmm? Why don’t YOU think before you speak?

Lol, yes, no women can have masculine features! That is exactly what I meant. XD Good job reading my mind XD If you don’t like the critique then don’t post publicly. Also the twit that commented that I’m a butthurt Brony? XD Get over yourself. I would say the same thing about anyone that draws art where the characters are SO off model to be laughable.

you are fucking disgusting

it isn’t a critique if you don’t find them attractive, suprisingly enough not every woman has to be drawn to be conventionally attractive for the male gaze!!!! think of that!!!!!

and they aren’t off model at all, they are humanized versions. how can they be off model? oh, you mean they aren’t thin, conventionally attractive, and white with feminine features? is that an ‘off’ model human to you?

and fyi peppering your sentences with XD doesn’t make them less awful; arguably moreso, even

Lol, I am going to respond to this last one here because again, it’s hilarious.

“it isn’t a critique if you don’t find them attractive, suprisingly enough not every woman has to be drawn to be conventionally attractive for the male gaze!!!! think of that!!!!!”

Lol, I never said they HAD to be nor did I say I wanted them to be. You’re really reaching trying to shove meaning into what i said that isn’t there. Nothing about this has anything to do with me finding them attractive based on conventions of what the mainstream finds beautiful. Think of THAT.

“and they aren’t off model at all, they are humanized versions. how can they be off model? oh, you mean they aren’t thin, conventionally attractive, and white with feminine features? is that an ‘off’ model human to you?”

Yes! That’s exactly what I meant! I’m so glad you really KNOW the REAL me!

Now on to my ACTUAL reply. Fluttershy looks stereotypically rail thin and frail. As if her design were based on how gentle she is without regard to her actual strength and yeah I even mean physically. In terms of the show she’s supposed to be gorgeous naturally enough to be runway model material and while it IS true that IRL many runway models are indeed stick figures I find the idea to be an odd thing to do to Shy there as i always pictured her to be a bit more motherly and in that regard with more weight on her body or a nurturers sort of a frame and that that natural body type would make her perfect to be a more filled out model. I never pictured the reason why Fluttershy was a runway model to be because she was so THIN like a supermodel…actually thinner as this artist drew her with a Cruella DeVille frame. Instead the artist seemed to equate her love of animals and being gentle to being a waif and I think it looks off.  Rarity also feels wrong. She strikes me, in context to the show with someone who places value on their appearance and fitness, you know, so she she can wear the latest creations and look good in it. She is dainty in her etiquette and how she presents herself and while she has been known to binge eat from time to time when she’s upset and while I pictured her to be more heavy set than the others I still pictured her to be more fit. She’s presented as a strongly determined hard worker…so yeah I find the idea that she looks like an overweight, over-privilaged diva with the wrong hair style model to be wrong. In many ways it seems that the artists unfamiliarity with the show led him to pick one aspect of the character as a defining trait and RUN with it, doing their own thing instead of looking at the multiple aspect of them and thinking of the practical natures of the design. If it wasn’t for them being labeled as the characters or having the right hair colors they wouldn’t have come CLOSE to being confused with the characters on the show in human form. If any pony in human form is more plump, it’s the always eating sweets pastry chef Pinkie Pie. If any character would have a more masculine frame and face its AJ, hell she puts more physical labor into her life that it makes sense, though Rainbow would also be a good candidate for looking boyish but I find that to be based more on how she acts sometimes rather than her appearance because we all know she and AJ can look downright feminine in the right circumstances…well, again based in context to the show and the situation with the Gala dresses and the same goes with Rainbow. If I thought any character was a thin character it was Twilight as she is kinda a book nerd and while I know that is a sort of stereotype in itself most bookish girls I know fit it. Most of this however is based on their environment rather than standards of beauty because you are correct in one thing, these are humanization’s of animal characters. Translating them is difficult because they all use the same base character model but incorporating their jobs, their personalities, habits and lifestyles and how other characters view their appearance in the show give you a good idea as to what they should look like and I feel that these do not do that any justice.I also realize that MOST people would agree that there are people that would feel otherwise but I’m presenting MY opinion and in MY opinion these look bad.

BTW, I just LOVE how you added “you mean they aren’t thin, conventionally attractive, and white” White? Were you expecting me to say that I think Rarity’s skin color is a factor in this? XD If so you’re SADLY mistaken. I’m sure you’d LOVE to throw “racist” as well on top of “transphobic” and “misogynistic” too but really, you’re reaching here trying to make me out into some sort of *gasp* evil villainous person. Stop the self induced drama. XD

And yeah i add the XD because I find everyone’s reaction to be laughable. so XD…XDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDXDMUTHAFUKKA!

princess-pyon asked: Lol god forbid a woman doesn't look like a perfect cookie cutter Barbie doll

I never said they SHOULD look like a perfect cookie cutter Barbie doll. Do you have some sort of post where i did? I don’t think you do as a matter of fact I know you don’t Lol, I recall a story recently on Yahoo! of a Russian woman that actually DID model herself on an actual Barbie doll body type and I was APPALLED about it and over-opinionated people, much like yourself, berated me for NOT accepting that standard of beauty. XD  I’m not sure what picture you are referring in which I made some comment that you cunningly used to read my mind and know ALL about who I am and what I think or what I was thinking about but I’m going to reference a picture I posted of the girl with the perfect face and pierced nipples.

She’s just a girl but between the eyes and the way her face was framed by her hair (which looks amazing BTW) and that perfectly captured smile yeah I call that beautiful. Hell I’d even go so far as to say her face is mathematically perfect.  You know what I think is beautiful for a woman’s face or body type though? Of course you don’t. You’re basing your assumption on one post (whichever one that was). Hell, even if you went through my faves it doesn’t matter. I fave porn pics all the time and not because of the model, but because of the action. Sometimes I even find some porn hilarious so I fave it for THAT. Sometimes I fave or reblog pictures I find because someone captures something beautiful and in that regard it is without being based on the type of body. Not to say that there aren’t some body types I’m  not attracted to. Not at all, though I WILL say there is something about the mind and heart of a person that makes you overlook that “imperfection” in their appearance. None of this however changes what I find aesthetically pleasing in terms of art and photography of people nude or otherwise. That ALSO doesn’t change the fact that you never bothered to look at a few reblogged posts made earlier in the year of self-conscious women MOST people would consider “fat” telling them how gorgeous they are. These aren’t some girl that’s 130 pounds instead of 120 either. That’s OK though, you’re just doing what MOST people do when they post comments like these and that’s operating under a false assumption based on ONE thing. Glad you did your research SO much. Way to think, Princess!

conconticktin asked: there's nothing wrong with not liking the picture or the character's portrayals, or giving your opinion on why, but choose your words more carefully next time kay?? you can see what a hamhanded comment can lead to. i'll give you the benefit of the doubt that you don't have any problems with trans people, but equating it with why you don't like something can have mad negative connotations!! i'm glad you're willing to listen tho, kudos, you know what went wrong and now everything can settle down

Yes it was probably a poor choice of words on my part. And no I don’t have any problem with Trans-anything people. Again, that whole “you’d need to know me to know why” thing but you know, all the trans people I know never get this butt-hurt about it. Maybe it’s a regional thing or maybe it’s a thing with how hard they may have had to fight for their identity but I DO wish people would stop overreacting. If they have a problem I have an ask button they can comment in. I only disallow Anons there. They want clarification of my intent, they can do that but when the first thing they do is make accusations, call me names, equate me to something undesirable, make generalized comments on me as a person without knowing a damn thing about me and be generally inarticulate I’m not going to be nice but I’m always willing to listen if people want to critique my behavior or what I said and how it can be misconstrued especially here i mean, you can’t add inflection in type the same way with speech when you’re face to face.

It would be nice if things settled down yes.

Wait a second. First you say they’re “well drawn” and then later you say “they look awful”?

Also, bonus transphobia. Stay classy.

Again, YES, they are well drawn. There’s a difference between TECHNIQUE and STYLE. The artist technique is good. The line work is great, and they know how to make the material they are depicted wearing flow realistically. The proportions and perspective is also good and they obviously know how to draw expressive faces but in terms of the characters these are supposed to represent yes, they are ugly. They look like men. I suppose I should have said Transvestites rather than Transgendered but either way I think people would be pissed anyway as part of the word would have “Trans” in it. I don’t think they look like the characters either based on their personalities or on their settings or what they’ve done in the show. In other words, I DON’T LIKE THE STYLE OF ART. This has nothing to do with the artist personally though it’s getting to the point where all his supporters playing “private army” for them is really tiresome. I judged the art, not the artist. Stop reading into things.

harahiro asked: are you going to bronycon

I like the show, I’m not a Brony or at least I don’t use that term on myself. I use this account mainly to see art and sometimes reblog stuff. If someone likes what I say they follow me, if not they hate me. Nobody knows me so if I piss people off here I certainly wouldn’t tell them in real life if I were going to a con and who I would be if I did. XD
